"Is Your 'Local' Florist Actually Long-Distance?"Here's the deception.
A telemarketer has a listing in your yellow pages, and on line directory.
When you order, you are forwarded to an out of town call center.
They take your order and credit card information ...
and
forward your order to a REAL local flower shop!
That telemarketer takes a processing fee AND percentage of the sale!
Protect Yourself!
* Ask friends, family, neighbors, or co-workers for a recommendation for a LOCAL flower shop.
* Make sure the flower shop you choose lists a LOCAL phone number & LOCAL street address.
* Ask directory assistance for a LOCAL FLORIST, & ask for the address for that flower shop.
If there isn't one, consider another florist!
* Phone the florist and ask for directions to their flower shop.
If they hesitate or refuse, they may not be local!
What to Do If You've Been ScammedIf you feel you have not received proper value, call the service you used & describe the problem.
Find out where your money went!
Was a large portion of your money taken out
before the order was transferred
to the florist who actually filled your order?
If you feel more than a fair share of your money was skimmed by the order taker, say so!
Request a refund on a portion of those fees.
Your best protection is to deal directly with the florist who fills your order!SPEAK TO A REAL PERSON - IN A REAL FLOWER SHOP -
WHO WILL ACTUALLY TAKE, PRODUCE, and DELIVER YOUR FLOWERS!
You'll develop a relationship with someone who cares
about your order and can track it from start to finish.
You can find a real local florist in any city by using www.yellowpages.com.
CAUTION! Avoid a "florist" who does not list a local address,
but instead states "serving your area".
